What is the battery life of a fully charged-up TravelWiFi Router?

The average lifespan of a fully-charged up TravelWiFi Router ranges between 6 to 12 hours. This is an estimation as the battery life depends on the number of smart devices connected to the router, data consumption and the condition of the mobile signal.

What is the router's network range?

The network range is approximately 10 metres in radius without any obstacles.

Can a non-4G mobile device be used on the 4G router?

Yes. As long as the devices are Wi-Fi enabled, it can be connected to the TravelWiFi Router.

4G refers to the connection speed that is being transmitted when the user is accessing the internet. Speed and connectivity varies across different device models and telecommunication network of the country you are travelling to.

If there are issues with the TravelWiFi Router, can I troubleshoot it?

If you experience any connectivity issues, please try restarting the router.

  1. Please note that network speed and connectivity may vary depending on the location's network infrastructure. Areas with mountainous terrain, coastal regions, rural areas and underground locations tend to have slower speeds and intermittent connectivity.
  2. To ensure data consumption is optimized, please disable automatic updates to your mobile device’s applications. Auto-updating in the background hinders the data speed.

If the connectivity problem persists, please contact us immediately for a logged troubleshooting case. Please take a photo of the router and contact our WhatsApp technical helpline at +6016-9808017 (9am to 9pm) to promptly escalate the matter and provide further assistance.

How many devices can I connect to per device?

Depending on the routers provided for your booking, you can connect up to 5 or 6 devices (base on the router type and model). However, please take note that the more devices you connect to a single router, the more data it will consume and the faster you will hit the maximum speed.

Should you be expecting to share the router with more devices, we recommend you to opt for a high data plan to avoid slowing down of speed.
